Miami holds a special place in my heart. It was the first place I lived after I left the nest, where I became a grown up, and where I met the man I would marry. My favorite thing about Miami is that no matter where you’re from, you can feel at home. It’s so culturally diverse that you can fit right in.
I lived there for a year, and I miss it dearly. Whenever we go visit, I like to bike around Coconut Grove, eat at my favorite restaurants and bakery (Green Street, L’Atelier Gourmet, Tutto Pizza, and Akashi), and get a haircut at Nikita.
I normally don’t do the turistic thing, but Viscaya will always be an exception. It’s such a beautiful place, I could spend all day around the gardens.
