When my sister was getting married, I offered to help her with the planning, since I thought I had seen it all with my frequent wedding attendance record. ”Do you have a theme in mind, or some sort of imagery of how you want your day to be?”, I asked her, “Of course!”, she told me… and then forwarded a 30-page PDF to my email.
CRAZY. But you know what? Creating inspiration boards work. I learned that from her, and since then, I am an inspiration board hoarder.

And then came Pinterest. Let’s face it: we all have spent way too much time “pinning”. I can’t blame you though- like I said, I probably need an inspiration boarding rehab- so no judgment here. In fact, to make pinning/inspiration collecting even more time worthy for you (and a lot more interesting to me), I came up with the following GIVEAWAY:

THE RULES*:

1. Create a board titled “Wedding Inspiration for Spotted Photography”-> this can be done on pinterest, on your blog, or as a pdf/jpeg file using whatever software you would like.
3. Pin/create a collage with 5-10 images that portray your wedding inspiration (include a brief description on every item).
4. Send me a link to your board via my Facebook Fanpage, or an email with the file- spottedphotography{at}gmail{dot}com
5. Include a brief introduction with your groom’s/bride’s name, wedding date and the location of the event**.

I will personally check each board, looking for originality, prettiness, and coherence,  and then pick my favorite 3. The contest starts today (09/12/2011) and the winners will be announced  2 weeks from now,  on September 26, 2011.

* You must be at least 18+ to participate, and your wedding must be in Utah. Pinterest.com and facebook.com have no direct participation on this contest, and you do not have to create an account on either of these websites in order to make a submission (thus the other options). I reserve the right to exclude anyone from participation at any time. The winner will not be picked randomly, but based on merit.
** Your wedding date has to be between October 1-December 23 of 2011, or May 1-December 23 of 2012 in order for you to participate, and it is subject to availability.
