Spotted: Spring Lovin’ {Christina & Jordan}

Tuesday, May 17th, 2011

 Spring makes me think of poetry. While posting these pictures, the following poem kept coming up:

A light exists in spring
Not present on the year
At any other period.
When March is scarcely here

It waits upon the lawn;
It shows the furthest tree
Upon the furthest slope we know;
It almost speaks to me.

- Emily Dickinson

Spring makes me a better (and happier) photographer.

Au revoir!

Spotted: The Perfect Outdoor Utah Wedding {Maddie & Jordan}

Friday, May 13th, 2011

If you know me, then you know that I am a sucker for backyard-ish weddings.
The comfortable vibe, the warm air, the personal touches, the family coziness… you know.  I can’t help myself.

Maddie looked like she had just come out of one of my “inspiration boards”.
Call me a geek, but I have tons of them. I name them things like “The Perfect Garden Wedding”, ” Queen Victoria meets Marie Antoinette”,  ”Organic Chic Wedding”…
You get it.
This bride would probably fall into my  ”The Perfectly Balanced Bride”- not overdone, yet very chic; beautiful, and comfortable.
You’ll see what I’m talking about.
Oh, and you will also notice, I am sure ladies, how gorgeous the groom is. Killer smile!

Part I

The religious ceremony was done at the LDS Oquirrh Mountain (Mormon) Temple, where they were sealed to all time and eternity.

Part Deux

The reception was held at the Wadley Farms (a vendor that you know I absolutely love).
EVERYTHING was done by the bride and her mother, which made it all more meaninful.

The cake toppers belong to Maddie’s grandma- from her wedding 65 years ago.
Lovely, huh?

My favorite detail: Maddie had each guest sign a piece of fabric, and she’ll use them all to make a quilt.

Kids that pose for pictures make any wedding cuter.

The gateway car belongs to the bride’s grandparents as well :)

Why the bride and groom chose Spotted Photography:
“I really like the artistic side of it, I am all about being different and trying new things and I feel like your photography is not just the every day photos that we see but it is unique and special”

Love,

P
