When in Miami- Honeymoon Suggestion+10% off

Thursday, April 28th, 2011

After a long week of finals and sleep deprivation, Miami was a heavenly refreshment for both Mr.G and I.
No shoes, no shirt, no problems. Right?

Below, the happiest (and palest) people on earth:

Now, let me talk about our latest discovery:  luxury rentals in Miami Beach at Flamingo.
We lived in Miami, and so we know our way around, and honestly, this was so much better than anything else we have seen.
What a perfect way to spend the week!
In fact, what a perfect way to spend your honeymoon.

You get a hotel-style comfort, resort-style luxury, MIAMI BEACH, and the freedom and cheaper price of a rental.
Let me show you around:

THE APARTMENT:

Fresh. Modern. Relaxing.
It comes with everything you need to enjoy your stay (complete kitchen, internet, cable).

THE AMENITIES:

2 pools, 2 jacuzzis, beach volleyball court, basketball court, fancy gym, great views!
Plus, it’s nice and quiet, and full of hot people (for real).

Ahhh… I could live here.

Got you interested?
The weekly rental rate is $1,000 (much cheaper than hotels around the same area).
Call Frederic Bajol at 305-778-7737, or email him at fbajol@comcast.net
Want 10% off? The owner is a sweetheart and when I mention I would blog about it, he told me he’d give anyone I told about the rental 10% off.
Just let him know you heard about it on Spotted Photography’s blog, and you’re good!

Love,
P

Hidden Treasures- EuroTrip

Tuesday, April 19th, 2011

Don’t you love when you wear an old jacket and find a $20 bill on its pocket?

While doing some Spring cleaning on my hard drives (yes, I’m that bored), I was delighted to find some precious pictures I had totally forgotten about.
Which, clearly, is better than any $20 bill.
Some were in RAW format still- meaning, I had never even seen them!
It was quite a pleasant surprise.

When: Summer 2010
Where: Barcelona (Spain) and south of France
Who: Mr.G and I + In-laws
What: Our annual EuroTrip (it’s been a tradition for us since we first met)

These make me crave the summer, old stony streets, and kissing Mr.G in a foreign country.

Below, the loveliest doorstep I’ve ever seen. Made me want to meet whoever lives inside that house.

I have this little obsession with doors.
Not the way they look, but what they represent.
I can make up a whole story on what’s behind a door, just by looking at it.

I plan on hanging the picture below on my wall.
Not the one of the super model (BAHAHA), but the anchor one.

French kissing my little French.

My favorite puppy face in the whole world.

In-laws.

Oh summer, I miss thee.

LOVE surprises.

Spotted: Duvae & Nate {Spring Inspired Shoot}

Monday, April 11th, 2011

Every now and then, I meet a couple like Duvae and Nate.
The happy-giggly-super-in-love type, you know?
The type of couple who could spend the afternoon staring at each other, then go to a restaurant and sit on the same side of the table.

The type of couple who, by comparison, makes you look like misery.
You know?

I should not get paid to take pictures of happy-giggly-super-in-love people.
It’s a breeze, and I enjoy it too much.

Oh well ;)

Spotted: Kate Spade Giveaway: “Say Yes Mrs. Necklace”

Monday, April 11th, 2011

Last week, Kate Spade announced their lovely new bridal line…Wedding Belles (and Whistles).
When I saw all the sparkly shoes, short wedding dresses and oh so adorable accessories… I was sold.

Forget that I already love anything Kate Spade (and forget the cute catchy name).

But how unfair would it be to keep this adorableness all to myself???!
Oh no, I had to share.

So here is my first giveaway EVER: the Say Yes Mrs. necklace.

- gold plated metal
- lobster claw closure
- shiny 12 karat gold plated metal
- 16″ length

Spotted: Salt Lake City Wedding- Jared & Melina

Friday, April 8th, 2011

The Babbling

I was feeling pretty sassy, so I decided to post the highlights from my YESTERDAY wedding.
No, I can never do this.
But like I said, I was feeling sassy.

Plus, school is over (which is probably the reason for my sassiness).
For the next 2 weeks, I can actually have a normal life!
Like, eat, sleep, and stuff.

And post amazing weddings over here.

The Wedding

Melina & Jared were married at the LDS Salt Lake City temple.
Boy, for a spring wedding… it was awfully cold and pouring.
Nonetheless, the wedding was incredibly lively.

On the happiest day of your life, a little bit of rain (or a lot) is not a big deal.
I mean it. A lot of people think it is.
Nonsense!

My favorite shots of the day:

The reception was held at the Joseph Smith Memorial building.

Sibling sillyness.

Talk about a skillful daddy-daughter dance! They danced to a brazilian style called “Forro”.
Original, and adorable.

YUM.

Lovely.

Spotted: Salt Lake City Engagement Session- Jared & Melina

Wednesday, April 6th, 2011

Hi.

My name is Paola.
You might remember me. From this blog, actually.
Sometimes I come here and babble.
(When I’m diligent, of course)
Then there’s the occasional monthly disappearance.
(Which happens more often than not)

I feel I should share more, you know? Tell you my funny stories, my dreams, my fears.
I don’t know, I feel I should.
Should I?

Until I decide on that, let me leave you with something I am ALWAYS certain of.
Why, L.O.V.E! Of course.
You can never have too much of it.

Melina and Jared are getting married tomorrow!
Which makes me wonder if they will be able to sleep tonight.

The day before my wedding day I was DEAD, but I could not make myself just freaking fall asleep.
This will sound silly- but I was actually scared of missing it.
Like, not hearing my alarm and actually miss MY wedding day.
Ridiculous, I know. The crazy things brides will come up with!
(my sister was actually worried about how her “I do” would sound- she wanted to get it right)

Oh yeah, the night before my wedding, I asked my parents if I could sleep with them one last time.
And I did.

Excited for tomorrow (but actually going to sleep),
