Spotted: Sans Paris- Paris Wedding Photographer

Thursday, January 27th, 2011

After some long debate on my work schedule for 2011, I decided not to go vacationing in Europe this summer.
For the first time in 4 years, may I add?
I know I should be happy, because that means I have lots of work and what not… but a little piece of me just died inside.
One full year sans Paris, sans macaroons, sans glamour at its purest.
Will I ever mend my broken heart?

Dear Sister,

You know I’d do anything for you, right?
You know I’d make sure your big day was exactly how you dreamed, right?
You know I’d be your photographer.
I’d go up and down the steepest hill to make sure everything in your wedding got covered.
I’d ruin my hair and make-up in 5 minutes, just to make sure.
I would scratch my favorite heels.
I would investigate vendors. Send you ideas. Be a mean business woman.
I would smile, cry, laugh, dance.
You know I’d do anything for you, right?

I would anything for you, any day, everyday.
Not just on your wedding day.
But today you get a sample.
Your happiness is my happiness.

Love,
P

Sheila & Joao were married for time and eternity at the Curitiba Lds Temple.

Two weddings required two different dresses.
Short+Vintage+Birdcage. Bliss.

We had about 15 minutes outside before it started pouring down again.
I called it my photographer’s faith.
It NEVER rains when I need it not to rain.
And I really just needed 15 minutes.

Part II.

Dress II: Off-white, pearls.

Stunning bride.

Sisters/Me before I was melting down and ugly.

The cutest “flower boy” and dad one could wish to have.

Expectation.

Mama bear.

Walking down the aisle.

MARRIED!

Details. Details. Details.
My sister’s wedding was 100% HER.
Breathtaking view of a canyon, woodsy decoration, all vegetarian, full of quirky surprises.

*Btw, I made the cake toppers. And I suck at crafts. Really.

THE END.

Love,
P

Curitiba, Brazil- Estate Wedding Photography

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011

I bet you thought I only tanned and got fatter in Brazil.
Surprise.

I did Flavia & Flavio’s (yes, matchy names [CUTE!]) engagements pictures back in May 2010, and had the pleasure of doing their Wedding Day pictures during my trip this past December.

Ready for stunning?

For pictures-during-daylight’s sake, they got to see each other away from everyone’s eyes. It was such an intimate, magical moment.

My favorite two shots of the day:

The groom’s face as the bride is walking down the aisle always says it all.

The reception was absolutely gorgeous. It was at Flavia’s uncle’s estate, and the salon was made entirely out of wood.
The decoration was very earthy, with lots of pops of green.
Love it.

These little treats below are one of my favorite things about Brazilian receptions.

FIM.

My Warm Winter/Annual Vacations.

Tuesday, January 18th, 2011

Why the absence, you ask?

Guess.

My annual family vacations to Brazil never disappoints.
I start looking forward to them right about when the last one ended.
The rest of the year is just a countdown.

This year’s vaycay makes me want to shout out words. Random words. They explain it all.

Muse ;) … I mean, Sun.

Snuggle.

Baby cheeks.

Family.

Art.

Wild.

Dove.

Naughty.

Warm.

Diet free.
Freedom.
Relaxing.
Belonging.

Good-time.
