The joy of working on Saturdays.

Wednesday, September 29th, 2010

Saturday is my favorite day of the week.
I don’t get to sleep in. I don’t get to stay in my pj’s all day long.
I don’t get to catch up to the TV shows I’ve missed during the week.

It’s Saturday, and I must go to work.

Work usually starts with a pretty bride, getting prettied up.
(I know weddings are supposed to be a bride&groom kind of thing, but secretly, this is my favorite part)

After all the preparation, I then get to go outside and play.
I make silly pictures;

Glamorous pictures;

Intoxicated-with-love pictures.

Then, I move on to all the details.
OH THE DETAILS.
I get the blings;

I get the flawless decoration;
Every color, every texture;

I get the occasional grass-baby;
(How I love grass-babies!- every wedding should have at least one or two)

And a lot more details.

Later on, I hunt lovebirds down.

And there is the occasional marathon.

By the end of the day, though joyful, I am DEAD.
Working on Saturdays is tough!

But hey, someone has to do the dirty job ;)

Yours Truly,
PG

The Wadley Farms- favorite Utah venue

Friday, September 24th, 2010

[x] Quirky venue!
If you want the backyardish wedding, but just don’t have the backyard for it, this will be just oh-so-perfect.
I came across the Wadley Farms back in June (Aubrey & BJ’s Wedding), and had the opportunity to revisit two weeks ago. I just want to live there.

More importantly than just being cute, this venue will give you amazing pictures.
BTW, think about this when you go wedding-hunting, please.
I said before that I can make a dumpster look cute, I know. But a little help doesn’t hurt either, right?

You can go all glamorous and fancy if you want, but I sure love a quirky place to take cute pictures at. Or move in.

So, you’ve met Nikki and Scott from 2 posts ago. They were married in San Diego, but held an open house for their Utah fans as well.
I was there for an hour- just enough to capture some lovely ones and lovely details.

“Scott and Nikki met in a Physics class at BYU”- cute!

In love.

Saturday, September 18th, 2010

Hey there lovely!
It’s Friday night and I’m delighting myself between some editing and homework.
A nerd, yes.

It’s safe to say that my wedding tomorrow will be fabulous.
I’ve been dying to put these up, but didn’t want to spoil it before the actual day.

Much love,

P

IN this week

1. My last Saturday’s wedding:

2. My upcoming Saturday’s wedding:

3. Vera Wang‘s new fall bridal collection. OMG.

4. Mignonne head pieces for brides. They melt my heart.

5. Gossip Girl is back on! Ok, let me explain myself: this is my one and only guilty pleasure, I promise. And I must confess I’ve been waiting to delight myself in it for the past 5 months.

Oh, and did I mention that watching it is the only way I can run 6 miles on a treadmill without missing a beat?
Cheers for having your guilty pleasure back in your life. While burning some calories ♥

OUT this week

Fall semester is officially on, and let me tell you: I already miss my summer-just-working ex-life.
And the freshmen? Don’t even get me started. Freshmen excitement gets on my nerves.
Luckily, it only lasts about a week- and then we are all on the same school-hating boat.

This is me on my Freshman year:

Now, I’m as excited to go to school as Kiwi is about my brother petting him.

I can’t wait for the weekend, when I get to be out on the workforce, instead of a classroom!

xoxo,
Paola

Spotted 2.0

Friday, September 10th, 2010

Guys,
I am having a wonderful week.
After cozying up in a cabin for the weekend, enjoying the great outdoors, and renewing my look… I feel so… upgraded!
Yeah, upgraded is the word.
I’ve been having this tickling feeling of changing my stuff. I needed this.
So, welcome to my new blog-site! One stop, and like a brazilian things to do and to check out.
Starting this upcoming week, things are going to go crazy over here. We’ll have FAQ, contests, new deals, and a bunch of good old eye-candy.
Let me know what you think “Spotted Photography 2.0″, and stay tuned.

Love y’all,

P

ps: I finally got to wear my horseback riding boots this weekend! SCORE.

White tux on your wedding day: yea or nay?

Friday, September 10th, 2010

After a week of food poisoning, and a 24hr flight, I am back!
To celebrate it, I’ll sit here and enjoy some sweet air conditioning (God bless America) while I amuse you with some eye-candy.

Today I want to talk about suits.

When I was planning my wedding, and the topic came up, I was completely against it. I thought a white tux was a bit too much, and that it would leave no contrast between my groom and I (the crazy things brides come up with).
Well, this wedding changes my mind.
A white tux can be perfectly appropriate and chic. It’s great for daylight weddings, and beach weddings.

Do suggest/support a white tux for your groom.
We both know it’s the one time in his life when he can actually pull it off (unless he is P. Diddy, of course).

Do it.

Sarah & Gabe demonstrate my point:

This kid has some serious skills.
